I was born on January 24, 1981 at St. Francis Hospital, in Tulsa, OK. I grew up in Glenpool, OK, where I attended Glenpool Public Schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. I am blessed to have wonderful parents who are very supportive of me, who love each other, and who are committed to our family. I have one amazing sister, Kellie, who teaches 4th grade at Sequoyah Elementary, and two “bonus” sisters, Joy and Sarah, both by marriage, one of which is also a school teacher and the other works for Tulsa Community College. I have two beautiful nieces- Kasimir and Ella, and one handsome nephew-Sterling.
While in high school, I was a member of the varsity volleyball team, and served as captain both junior and senior years. As a senior we won the Oklahoma State Volleyball Championship, the first Championship in any sport for Glenpool HS, and I was awarded Most Valuable Player of the State Championship. During my junior year we also participated in the State Championship and I was likewise awarded MVP. I was awarded a position on the All-State Volleyball team both Junior and Senior year.
In college, I was a 4yr. Varsity Volleyball letter winner and also an All-American Scholar Athlete. I was active in the social science department at Evangel University serving as the student senator and also participated on the Student Advisory Council to the Dean.
I am married to my wonderful husband, John, and we have two beautiful daughters, Judah and Karis. I enjoy every opportunity I get to spend time with my family. My husband and I are members at Open Bible Fellowship, where he serves as Youth Coordinator. We love our church family and enjoy leading a small group. We also enjoy hiking, camping, and cycling.
