Professional Biography

Richard D. White, Jr. is a shareholder of Barber & Bartz. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Long Beach in 1977, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa in 1980. His practice focuses on family law and civil litigation in State and Federal Courts. Mr. White is an active member of Oklahoma Academy of Collaborative Professionals, an organization dedicated to alternative dispute resolutions of family law disputes.  Mr. White represents creditors throughout the United States in commercial related litigation.

Mr. White is a Member of the Board of Governors of the Commerical Law League, and is a 25-year member of the Criminal Justice Panels for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma.

Personal Biography

I was born and raised in Long Beach, California, and I graduated from Jordan High School. I was involved in high school football and track and earned an Honorable Mention as wide receiver for the All-City Football Team. I graduated from the University of California at Long Beach in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, and continued my education by obtaining a law degree from the same university.

I am married to a beautiful Brazilian girl I met while on a mission trip to the Amazon Rain Forest. We have five children ranging in ages from 28 to 14.

They are engaged in varied careers, including Legal Assistant, Dental Assistant, Navy Special Operations, OU student, and highschool student.

Mr. White serves as a member of the Tulsa City-County Library Commission.  He has served as an adjunct professor of Constitutional Law at Oral Roberts University, and he also served as a mentor in the University of Tulsa Law School’s Mentoring Program.
