Biography

Growing up in Tulsa, we were always close to the “woods”.  As kids, we would hike the woods during the day and ride our bikes downtown at night.   Later, we played never ending games of sandlot baseball, football, and basketball – whatever was in season.  We enjoyed a sense of freedom that I fear most children no longer experience. My wife, Donna, and I met while attending OSU.  We have both since learned much about life watching our three children grow into remarkable adults.

I commenced my legal career in private practice.  I was then recruited by an out of state Fortune 300 Company where I was primarily involved with mergers and acquisitions. I returned to Tulsa to join a regional hotel chain, a startup with national aspirations, as its General Counsel and I subsequently participated in two startups as General Counsel and CFO.  During this same time I reestablished my private practice with an emphases on estate planning and business matters.

My practice is now focused primarily on estate planning.  I really enjoy the challenge of helping high net worth clients adopt tax efficient structures.  But I also get great satisfaction helping others adopt plans that meet their family objectives.
