My practice focuses on preventative counseling and training employers on the best practices necessary to reduce risk, avoid litigation and maintain a productive and motivated workforce. I work with and assist companies, management, HR and front-line supervisors with the difficult aspects of being an employer.  I share practical experiences gained from over a decade of leadership within a large multi-national entertainment and media company and over a decade practicing law for local businesses.  I consult with employers on day-to-day issues, including interviewing and hiring, discipline and termination, employment and non-solicitation agreements, workplace policies and handbooks, drug and alcohol testing and control plans, employee classification, internal investigations, anti-harassment and anti-discrimination training, reductions in force, senior executive retirement plans (SERPs) and severance programs. 

I also advise, train and assist employers outside of the courtroom to help them avoid risk and foster a motivated workforce.  I advise and assist employers with the design, review and updating of employee handbooks, policies and procedures, ADAAA compliance, FMLA compliance, EEOC & NLRB driven policies and procedures, wage & hour exemption compliance and unemployment compensation.

My law practice has provided me with an opportunity to assist a wide variety of local business such as HOAs, non-profits, start-up entrepreneurs, Native American Tribes and established businesses in the areas of accounting, banking, title & abstracting, manufacturing, distribution, construction, electric cooperative/electric utility, government defense and business services.

I review and draft employment contracts, including non-compete agreements, trade secrets and confidentiality agreements, severance agreements, retention agreements and other employment-related contracts.

I am a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), the Tulsa Area Human Resources Association (TAHRA) and the Tulsa Equal Employment Opportunity Coordinators Association (TEEOCA).
